The main text contains the 40 signed poems by Philipp von Zesen & also the morning & evening prayers from his Frauenzimmer Gebet-Buch, also some 60 further poems & hymns, one poem & a riddle with the initials of Georg Philipp Harsdörffwe, another with those of Heinrich Albrecht, a brief rhyme with the name of Joh. Rist, who actually is the author of at least a dozen of the other poems. Of the 3 poetic appendices, the 1st contains the rhymes of Joh. Lauterbach, 1573, the 2nd & 3rd 16 & 11 poems & hymns, all anonymous, some identifiable as being by Anna Sophie von Hessen-Darmstadt, Angelus Silesius, Erasmus Francisci, Paul Gerhardt, Joh. Rist, & a few others, leaving, however, several of the most beautiful unidentified.
